Heavy Criticism For G.T Bank As Customer Strips In Banking Hall Over Managements ‘’I Don’t Care Attitude’’ In Handling Illegal N150,000 Deduction

The cliche the customer is king certainly does not hold water in all branches of Guaranty Trust Bank.

A video is trending on the social media of a man who stripped to his boxers to protest  what he explained was the illegal deduction of N150, 000 from his account by GTBank

In the video, a man who appeared to be in his 30s is seen sitting on the floor of a banking hall with just a pair of boxers and a neck chain on. His trousers and shirts are on the floor close to him.

In the course of the five-minute video, the man angrily tries to share his story with whoever cared to listen as banking activities went on around him.

Speaking Yoruba, he said N150,000 had been illegally deducted from his account and despite repeated attempts to get the bank to act, he had been treated with scorn and so he decided to take the matter in his hands.

According to him, the issue has dragged on for over a month with nobody really caring to take his complaints seriously.

Obviously fed up with the way he had been treated, he vowed not to get up until his money was returned to him or until the matter got to the bank’s head office.

Even the knowledge that his actions were being recorded did not bother him.

“You can take my photograph and video. I don’t care. All I need is my money,” he shouted.

“GTBank, my money, give me my money. I have been patient enough.”

The trending video has elicited strong reactions from users of the social media with many lambasting the bank for its inability to resolve the matter and prevent this embarrassment.
