Dangote ‘insultingly’ offered me $15,000 ‘hush money’ — Ex-girlfriend


Ms. Spikes says she was "pressured and influenced" to sign Mr Dangote’s first Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

Autumn Spikes, an ex-girlfriend of billionaire businessman, Aliko Dangote, said she was “insultingly” offered $15,000 and another $2,500 monthly by the African richest man to keep quiet over their affair.


Ms Spikes, who disclosed this in a post via her Instagram handle, @allounda1, on Monday, is instead, demanding $5 million in exchange for the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) requested by Mr Dangote.

Naira Marley’s fraud trial takes new turn as court admits more evidence


A Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday admitted an optical disc in evidence in the ongoing trial of popular Nigerian singer Azeez Fashola alias ”Naira Marley”.


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on May 14, 2019, charged the singer, with 11 counts, bordering on conspiracy, possession of counterfeit credit cards and fraud.

I Met Tinubu Only Once In Lagos - Sunday Igboho


Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho has disclosed that he only met Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), once in Lagos.

 

Igboho was reacting to a claim by Babafemi Ojudu, special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on political matters, that he met with Tinubu in Akure, Ondo state capital, in 2009, over the Ekiti gubernatorial election rerun.

Sunday Igboho’s house gutted by fire


One of the houses of Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, has been gutted by fire.

Sources say the activist's Ibadan home, located in Soka area of Oyo State started burning around 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday. 

An eye witness says touts stormed the Soka residence of the activist and burnt down cars and the building.

Mr. Adeyemo no longer lives in the house affected by the fire.

The fire incident occurs days after Mr. Igboho led his followers and aggrieved residents to Igangan in Ibarapa area of Oyo State to eject the Fulani leader of Igangan, Salihu Abdukadir.

He accused the Fulani leader of harboring criminal herders who were kidnapping and killing residents of the community.

Tinubu returns to Nigeria after one-month abroad


National leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos state, has arrived in Nigeria after a month absence. Tinubu returned to the country on Sunday, about a month after he left.

He was sighted at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, in company of some of his aides.

There are reports that the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) would contest the 2023 presidential election.

Although Tinubu has not publicly declared his interest in the highest office in the land, his allies and associates have started campaigning.

Larry King Dies Of COVID-19 At 87

 


Television US talk show host Larry King has died of COVID-19 at the age of 87.


The TV star was taken to hospital in Los Angeles in late December after testing positive for coronavirus.


King, whose career spanned more than six decades, had Type 2 diabetes and had suffered from lung cancer, angina and heart attacks in recent years.


IGP orders arrest of Sunday Igboho

 


Mohammed Adamu, inspector-general of police (IGP), has ordered the arrest of Sunday Adeyemo, youth leader better known as Sunday Igboho, over the quit notice he issued to herdsmen.


BBC Hausa quoted Garba Shehu, presidential spokesman, as confirming the arrest order during its programme on Friday.


Igboho had asked herdsmen in Igangan in Ibarapa north local government area of Oyo to leave within seven days following reports of the killing of some Oyo citizens.


He had blamed herders and Fulanis, including Saliu Kadri, the Seriki Fulani, of being behind the rising insecurity in the area.
