The oldest person in Britain has died at the age of 112.

Joan Hocquard shared her birthday, 29 March 1908, with the world's oldest man Bob Weighton, who died in Hampshire in May.

Mrs Hocquard spent her early life in Kenya where her father was a British colonial officer.

Court Adjourns Ize-Iyamu's Money Laundering Case To January 2021


The money laundering case brought against Pastor Osagie Ize -Iyamu, PDP governorship candidate in Edo State in 2016 election and four others by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, was today October 15, 2020 adjourned till January 14, 2021 by a Federal High Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State.


The other four defendants are Lucky Imasuen, former deputy governor of Edo State; Chief Dan Orbih, former PDP chairman in Edo State; Tony Aziegbemi and Efe Erimuoghae.

Tinubu was reacting to Tuesday night attack which saw security forces open fire on #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki tollgate area of Lagos State.


The former Lagos State governor spoke on Wednesday morning in a telephone interview with Channels Television.

“Why will they use live bullets?


“I will never, never be part of any carnage. I will never be part of that.”


Tinubu also denied having any investment in the Lekki Concession Company, the firm which manages the tollgate.


“I have no dime, no kobo investment in the tollgate,” he said.

Rotimi Akeredolu wins Ondo governorship election


Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, the candidate of the APC, has scored the highest number of votes in Saturday’s Ondo State governorship election and has been declared the winner.

The result of the election, held in all Ondos’s 17 local governments, was declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday in the state capital.

Akeredolu Akeredolu polled 292, 830 to defeat his main rival Eyitayo Jegede of the PDP who scored 195,780 votes.
