Oando, pls has refuted claims it sacked 50% percent of
workers and reduced salary and allowances.
The oil company in a communication signed by Ngozi Okonkwo
(Mrs) claims the information sourced from online platform thecapital and
featured on naijacelebrities is misrepresentation of fact.
The company informs that while ‘’it is common place for responsible
organisations to disengage employees for various reasons including but not
limited to increased efficiency, cost reduction and where performances falls
below the organisation’s expectations. A subsidiary of Oando recently disengaged
a few employees representing less than 2% of the group’s entire work force
falls far below the 50% stipulated....’’
