Trouble, Drama As Popular Prophet Dele “Genesis” Ogundipe’s Prison Pictures Get Leaked

The drama over the imprisonment of popular prophet Oladele Ogundipe popularly known as Genesis is far from over – judging from the latest twist.

The pictures of the prophet currently serving time at Kirikiri Medium Security Correctional centre located in Apapa, Lagos state, sneakily taken, have been leaked.

The picture portrays the popular prophet has having it “nice” in prison.

He was pictured casually dressed, wearing a sunshade, sporting an umbrella and conversing with yet to be identified persons on prison ground.

He looked “in charge” of the discussion in the picture.

This development is raising a storm over the prophet’s situation as his loyalists go to war with those they believe are using the prison pictures to throw more mud at him.

This development is said to be in the face of claims that two unnamed prison officers alleged to have taken the pictures are already in trouble over the act.

Ogundipe’s sympathizers claim that the prison officers have been arrested and undergoing interrogation for alleged “taking and selling the prison pictures” to the prophet’s adversaries.

Ogundipe better know by the name of his ministry “Genesis” (Genesis Global) was convicted for fraud earlier in the third week of November and sentenced to two years in imprisonment – a year each for the counts but to run concurrently – in the case that spanned 13 (Thirteen) years.

The development attracted widespread attention and transformed into talk of the town for days as those for and against him fueled the discourse as they take on one another in attempts to justify their positions on the court’s verdict.

Ogundipe’s loyalists claim he would launch an appeal in court to upturn the verdict and clear his name.

The checks by societynow.ng revealed that talks about the development had dwindled with many looking forward to when the convicted prophet would launch his appeal before the leaked prison pitched the sides for and against the prophet’s imprisonment against each other in another round of “messy engagement” defending their positions.

Ogundipe who has a near-cult following home and abroad is the shepherd of Genesis Global – which he built -, a parish of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC).

He has, however, been at logger’s heads with the leadership of the Celestial Church of Christ over issues about discipline and allegations of deviation from the tenets and doctrines of the CCC.
