Mallam Nasir El- Rufai, a national figure and chieftain of one of the leading political parties in the election, APC just raised an alarm.

'According to el-Rufai, the operatives said they were there for his (el-Rufai) protection to which he responded that he came to Awka with a police orderly and would need no protection from the SSS.
One of the SSS operatives then told el-Rufai in Hausa language that they have been directed from above to ensure that el-Rufai does not leave his room.
'However, el-Rufai dared the SSS by pushing his way through and is presently in the hotel's dining.
"The DG-SSS did not pick my call, yet to call back. I have complained to another senior officer. It is unlawful detention & will be resisted! I intend to discharge my duties today no matter what, and will go out when ready. I will dare the SSS to shoot.....we wait and see...thanks," el-Rufai said.
