Teams Arrive Lagos for Zenith B’ball Final 8

The eight teams expected to compete for honours in the Final 8 of the 13th Zenith Women Basketball League  arrived Lagos, venue of the Final Phase, Saturday- July 22.

Although action will start
on Monday at the National Stadium in Surulere, the officials of the teams will be expected to be at a technical meeting on Sunday at the event venue.


Already, Zenith Bank, has promised to make the 2017 Final 8 a thrilling event for the participating teams and fans of the game.

Eight teams have qualified for the Final 8 of the competition  which started in May with the First Phase in Abuja, Kaduna hosted the second phase while the third and fourth phases of the league took place in Asaba and Ibadan respectively.

The eight teams for the Final Eight are defending champions First Bank Basketball Club of Lagos, IGP Queens of Lagos, First Deep Water of Lagos and Plateau Rocks of Jos.

Others who also qualified for the Final 8 which comes up in Lagos from July 22 through 29 are former champions Dolphins of Lagos, Customs of Lagos, Delta Force of Asaba and GT2000 of Abuja.


The competition takes place all through next week but the All Star Game is expected to draw curtains on the event on July 28.
