Galactica Super Yacht

Baron Kola Aluko has done by acquiring the luxurious super yacht, Galactica Star.

Those in the business reveal that this 65metre-long beauty cost him slightly over $50 million and it is the world’s first all-aluminium displacement motor yacht. Registered in the Cayman Island and built by Hessen, this yacht which has a sophisticated hydrodynamic design was created by the following team: Naval Architect: Van Oossanen Naval Architects b.v., Exterior Designer: Omega Architects and interior design: Bannenberg & Rowell Design.

The concept of this innovative yacht was presented to the yachting community in September 2010 at the Monaco Yacht Club and the contract was signed in October 2010.

Construction took place at the Hessen facility in The Netherlands and was eventually delivered in June 2013. The exquisite machine which has an helipad and is 30 per cent more efficient fuel wise, with its reduced engine emission, was created with upscale luxury, sophisticated style and fine taste in mind. The mind-blowing interior is enchanting, and the immaculate white exterior is heavenly.

The Galactica can house 12 guests in six suites, is serviced by 13 crew members and can power up to 28knots at 4, 200 nautical miles!

Galactica Star clinched the top prize and the Monaco Yacht Show and he was presented with the prestigious prize of MYS/Baccarat Prix du Design by HSH Prince Albert II. Who actually mounted the yacht, presented the award and applauded the owner. Already, he has been nominated for some more awards in 2014.

Aluko’s yacht is such a sight to behold that it gets rave attention anywhere it goes. This was the yacht that Jazy Z and Beyonce used for their family holiday in the Mediterranean last September-and from all indications, due to its sterling reputation, they would not be the last.
